Cochacha (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Cochacha mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Google or Apple.
- Fitness data — workout logs, exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest times, body weight, and body measurements you enter manually.
- Social content — workout posts, comments, and reactions you share with your community or coach.
- Coach / client relationships — program sharing, client lists, and coaching activity you create inside the app.
- Communications — messages you send us at [email protected].
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data — screens visited, features used, session length, and crash reports.
- Push notification tokens — to deliver workout reminders and social notifications.
- IP address — used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate location (country/region level only).
Information from third parties
- Google / Apple Sign-In — name, email, and profile picture from the OAuth provider you choose. We do not receive your password.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Display your workout history, analytics, personal records, and progress to you.
- Share content you post (workout summaries, comments, reactions) with the community members or coaches you have connected with.
- Send push notifications for personal records, coach activity, and social interactions — which you can disable at any time in device settings.
- Detect and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Process Premium subscription payments (handled by Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not store payment card data).
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
- With coaches and community members — workout posts, comments, and reactions are visible to users in your Cochacha network, consistent with your in-app settings.
- Service providers — infrastructure providers (hosting, database, analytics) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Cochacha or others.
- Business transfers — if Cochacha is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction, with notice provided.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and fitness data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information (most data is editable directly in the app).
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — receive your fitness data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of notifications — disable push notifications in your device settings or within the app.

6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed credentials via OAuth, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. International Data Transfers
Cochacha is operated from Argentina and uses infrastructure providers based in the European Union and the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in these locations. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
